In August 2005, Brian Moote's mother
said to him in her usual Irish sarcasm, "Well, if you think you are so
funny, why don't you become a comedian then mister?" Shortly thereafter,
mostly out of spite, Brian first stepped on stage and thoroughly entertained 3
people at an 11pm open-mic show. To his surprise,
his stubbornness had just opened the door to his dream job and he
worked as a professional comedian throughout his college studies. Since that
night, he has worked at comedy clubs and colleges across the country. He has an
up beatand conversational style that promises no two sets are exactly the
same, and his goal when he performs is to facilitate good time for everyone in
the room, or seriously injure himself trying. The latter of which has yet to
happen to him, and a bit dramatic. He was a part of Comedy Central's Open Mic
Fight and the Maxim/Bud Light Real Men of Comedy Tour featuring Joe Rogan. He
is "just a barrel of fun" says his mother, who to this day takes
credit for launching him into the world of show business. He recently
recorded a full length comedy album entitled “Early Retirement.”
He recently was selected to the Great American Comedy Festival and was featured on the USA Network as a comedian for a "Characters Welcomed segment. In 2012 he will be a series regular on a new MTV prank show called "Money From Strangers."
